The Delivery Ceremony of Cars for Picking up Guests to the China International Import Expo (CIIE) was held at the Shanghai Exhibition Center on Sept 17, 2018. SAIC Motor Corporation Limited (SAIC Motor for short), as one of the leading domestic auto makers, delivered to CIIE more than 1,000 cars, consisting of both self-owned and joint ventures’ brands, such as the SAIC Roewe, SAIC Maxus, SAIC Volkswagen and SAIC-GM. The SAIC fleet will, on behalf of “Made in Shanghai” branded cars, take the honorable mission of picking up distinguished CIIE guests from home and abroad.

The first CIIE will open at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) on Nov 5. As the world’s first national exposition themed on imports, CIIE marks a significant milestone in the history of international trade, and is one of China’s top four domestic diplomatic events this year. It indicates a landmark for China in pushing forward a new round of high-level opening up, as well as a significant move for the nation in driving the construction of an open global economy.

It will also cooperate with Jin Jiang International (Holdings) Co, which is responsible for receiving State guests, and Shanghai Jiushi (Group) Co, which is in charge of forming a professional driver team, to provide high-quality and efficient pickup services for the exposition.
