An all-new super electric car of SAIC Motor - MG E-motion Concept made its world premiere at the 17th Shanghai auto show on April 19, displaying SAIC’s innovative achievements.

“SAIC’s MG brand has striven to keep pace with the tide to suit the traveling needs of every-generation of youngsters,” Wang Xiaoqiu, general manager of SAIC Motor Passenger Vehicle Corp, said at the release conference.

MG E-motion Concept inherits MG brand’s typical highlights, including the fluent and elegant exterior design, the London-eye featured headlights, and the vertical rear lights, blending traditional and fashionable elements.

Based on SAIC’s technology for pure electric cars, MG E-motion Concept can accelerate 0-100 kph in around four seconds with a range of 500 km, satisfying youngsters’ demand for super cars in a greener way.

The concept car is also equipped with a smart and internet-connected system giving an insight to SAIC’s future auto design.

In addition to MG E-motion Concept, other exhibits, including customized MG ZS and MG GS, also shined at the show.

Since its launch in March 2017, MG ZS has become a best-seller due to its 1.19-square-meter panoramic sunroof, 8-inch control display, smart and internet-connected system. Orders in the first month exceeded 20,000. The sales volume of MG brand in March soared by 76 percent compared with the same period last year.

Thus MG ZS launched a special car tailored for Liverpool Football Club, unveiled by famous football star Ian Rush at the show. The new car will offer the young generation and football fans more options and heat up the SUV market.

MG aims to design future auto life for the young generation with top-level designs and advanced technologies.
