SAIC Motor recently launched its new sedan model, the MG6, in Bangkok, capital of Thailand.

The newly launched MG6 has taken the lead in Thailand, introducing the inkaNet, an intelligent 3G system that enables mobile Internet access and further improves safety performance and driving experience, with sporty elements in design, super controllability and a powerful engine.

It will set a new standard for the auto industry in Thailand and be well recognized as a leader in the market.

According to SAIC, the new MG6 has five models in two categories – hatchback and sedan, which will tap into the Thai market starting as of Aug 1.

The MG brand has a long history and is famous for speed and good controllability. It has always integrated sporting elements and motor sports culture into its brand building, which has made numerous legends in motor racing. And so does the latest model, the MG6. It’s a multiple winner of races in on of motorsports most competitive categories, the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC), proving very popular among fans.

The MG6 has been a popular and fashionable car with Thai youth since it began sales in the country last year. Now the new version has brought its design, performance, controllability and safety to world-class levels and become a vehicle on the top of the list for many sport car fans.

With the emphasis on elegance, as a British brand since 1924, the new MG6 has stuck to its consistent enthusiasm for sport and speed and been well recognized for its outstanding quality and performance.

Equipped with the 1.8T turbocharged engine and 6-speed Dual-Clutch Transmission, it produces maximum power of 161 horsepower (118kW) and offers top torque of 215 Nm/2,000-4,500 rmp.

Boasting fashionable designs in appearance and unique European style, it has become a dream car for young generations, and the bright xenon headlights and LED daytime running lamps have improved the driving safety.

The inkaNet is another highlight of the new model, which enables the driver to connect to the car with a smartphone. It has five functions, such as car a status update, remote control, alarm, real-time monitoring, and remote fault diagnosis.

Following the launch of MG6 and MG3 on the Thai market, more models from the MG family will enter Thailand in the future. SAIC will take it as an opportunity to expand its market share in the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN), Middle East, and South America.
